Welcome to Design & Write Ltd. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms outline our responsibilities as a service provider and your responsibilities as our client.
Design & Write Ltd provides website design, development, hosting, and additional digital services such as branding, content creation, and social media support. We are registered in Scotland and operate under Scottish law.
We offer the following services:
Custom website design and development
Website hosting and maintenance
SEO and performance optimisation
Branding and graphic design
Content creation (copywriting, blogs, marketing materials)
Social media management
Any additional services beyond those agreed in your contract will be subject to a separate agreement and fee.
We will deliver the agreed-upon services as outlined in our contract. Any changes to the original scope, including additional design revisions, feature additions, or content changes, may incur additional costs. We will inform you of any extra charges before proceeding with additional work.
If you choose to host your website with us, we will ensure it remains live, secure, and up to date. Our hosting includes the following premium licenses:
Elementor Pro (for advanced design functionality)
Image Optimiser (to improve website speed)
WP Rocket (for performance and caching)
Use Any Font Plugin (for typography control)
If you choose not to host with us, you will be responsible for maintaining your own licenses. If you move your site away from our hosting, you will need to purchase your own licenses for these premium tools.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total project cost is required before work begins.
The remaining balance is due upon project completion, before the site goes live.
Hosting fees are billed annually and must be paid before renewal to prevent service interruption.
All invoices must be paid within 14 days of issue. Late payments may result in delays or service suspension.
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel the project after work has begun, you will be invoiced for work completed up to that point.
If you cancel your hosting service, we will provide a backup of your website, but you will be responsible for finding alternative hosting.
While we do our best to ensure your website functions smoothly, we cannot guarantee it will be completely error-free.
We are not responsible for any downtime caused by third-party hosting providers, plugin conflicts, or external services.
We are not liable for any financial loss or damages resulting from website performance issues, cyberattacks, or business disruptions.
Once final payment is received, ownership of the website design, graphics, and content created by us will transfer to you.
Until final payment is made, all rights remain with Design & Write Ltd.
We reserve the right to showcase your project in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We offer ongoing maintenance packages to keep your site updated and secure.
Minor updates and bug fixes are included in our hosting packages.
Any major changes or redesigns will be quoted separately.
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be handled under Scottish jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of the revised terms.
